1. What Let’s Sit Together Is (and Is Not)
Let’s Sit Together is a peer support app. It helps people feel heard, supported, and less alone by connecting them with others who listen and care.
Let’s Sit Together is NOT:

Medical care

Mental health treatment
-
Emergency or crisis services
Nothing on this app replaces help from a licensed professional.
2. User Responsibilities
By using Let’s Sit Together, you agree to:

Be kind, respectful, and honest

Listen with empathy and without judgment

Avoid bullying, harassment, hate speech, threats, or discrimination

Do not share graphic, explicit, or harmful content

Not pretending to be someone else

Do not give medical, mental health, legal, or professional advice

Respect other users’ privacy and confidentiality
You understand that:

Conversations are peer-to-peer

Other users are not professionals

Advice shared is based on personal experience only
We may suspend or remove accounts that break these rules to keep the community safe.
3. Peer Counselors & Moderators
Some users may act as peer counselors, moderators, or volunteers (“Supporters”).
Supporters:

Are not licensed therapists, doctors, or counselors
-
Provide listening and emotional support only

Do not diagnose, treat, or give medical advice

Do not handle emergencies
-
May suggest outside resources if someone needs more help
4. No Professional Therapy Disclaimer

Nothing shared on the app is professional advice

Using this app does not create a therapist-patient or doctor-patient relationship
If you need professional help, please contact a licensed provider.
5. Crisis & Emergency Disclaimer
Let’s Sit Together cannot help in emergencies.
If you are in immediate danger or experiencing a mental health crisis:

Call 911 (U.S.) or your local emergency number right away

Contact a suicide prevention hotline or crisis text line

Reach out to a trusted adult, family member, or professional
We may share crisis resources in the app, but we do not provide emergency services.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law:

Emotional distress

Decisions made based on peer conversations

User behavior or third-party actions

Service interruptions or data loss

8. Account Suspension or Termination
We may suspend or remove accounts if:
